Sorry, little overreaction on my part, just seemed like you were accusing me of pounding it... "You been abusing that car??"
I'm stressed, I hate what's happened to my Vette. I really don't drive it that hard, I don't understand why this happened, had to be the previous owner. (I've looked into tons of mods, but haven't actually touched it yet)
I have extended warranty just incase stuff like this happened.
Does anybody have a picture that shows the reaction shell cover?? thanks.

strange for one to use a name like leadfoot & accuse others of vehicular abuse. Must be double standard yankee thing........

Thanks for the warning Bruce! My fault trying to use humor to lighten the situation up. My apologies! Hope your car is back soon Josh. Yes, it is a yankee thing. But I have also lived in Bastrop, Greenville, Austin and other texas towns and got along fine.It was a joke only launched after Josh knew what was wrong with his car. I was wrong it won't happen again.

I just found out, it should be back up and running tomorrow, that was quick. YEAH!!!
I appreciate my fellow TX'n support, ha but we're all familiar here.
Thanks for the website Bruce. Guess I'll just have to baby it even more now, so this never happens again.....
Would it be smarter for me to just save up and replace the whole back end with performance parts and have LPE install it all? Will it be more reliable that way, or can I trust it with the new reaction shell and the rest of the tranni old?

Since your car is mostly stock, as I recall, I'd leave things as is for now. As you get into doing mods and/or racing, then you'll need to look at the rest of the driveline. And if it breaks again while still under warranty, you might want to ask the dealer about using the aftermarket part instead of stock.

I'll find out about aftermarket and how that will affect the warranty.
Warranty or not, I just want it to be reliable...
The warranty is good to fork the money for me, but I'd rather have no warranty and a good car that won't die all the time, then all the warranty money can buy, and have the car in the shop every other month......
Will certain aftermarket parts actually make the car stronger and more reliable as well as up the HP?? pertaining to the drivetrain?
