If I remember right, the "disappearing gas" happens when one of the tank levels goes 'out of range' for what the computer is expecting, so it defaults to empty until an acceptable value shows up. GM put out a program "fix" to stop the gauge from suddenly dropping. IMO it should be free at any dealer, but they're the only ones who can really give you a price.

The Techron just cleans deposits off of the sensor so your computer is always getting a signal that's in the proper range.

I have the same problem. Anyone ever experience a stall during this problem? I haven't yet, but have added the Techron twice and still experience the problem when the level reaches about 1/4. I might try the GM stuff and see if that works.
