Hello to everyone here. [Smile] I am a new member, just signing in and posting my first message.

I have a 99 chassis that I am building up to a track car. I purchased a 04 Z06 front and rear suspension to put on the car, but I wanted to replace the stock control arm bushings. Has anyone here done that? How would you rate the difficulty of the task? Is there any online info on the procedure? Did you use a press to remove and install the bushings?

Any info would help.

Thank you. [Thumbs Up!]

I was wondering the same thing. I've seen kits on these for about 200 bucks. I'm sure someone has done it. You may have to wait until someone sees the sticky. My bet is it isn't all that difficult. A lift would make it easier I'm sure. We'll see. Good luck

You need a press and some sort of bracing to prevent bending the control arms while pressing the bushings in. I just removed my control arms and took them to a shop. They charged me about $200 to do it. It was not that easy for them, so I think that unless you are an experienced machinist, it would be best to leave it the pros.

You can get them out but need a press or a rig to get them in. Some burn them out however this is long stinky and not recommended. You can run a drill thru them and make them easy to compress and remove. Welcome to the forum keep us posted on your project sounds neat [Hammer]
