Neither of these work. Swapped fuses for lighter and accessory outlet. Made no difference. Both fuses good but no power to lighter outlet....and the problem is not the "lighter". Accessory outlet works but would like to use lighter outlet for GPS...less cord to dash/windshield.

Probably unrelated - butcha never know - is the fact that the visor vanity lites don't work either. All fuses appear to be good and the bulbs are good too.

What do we think about that??? [Confused]

Welcome to the forum [Save the Wave!]

In the passenger footwell, fuse #1 is for the aux power plug and fuse #7 is for the cig lighter. If you've swapped the fuses and the aux power works both times but the cig lighter doesn't work either time I'd have to guess that it's unplugged behind the dash. If you want to try to get at the plug, you can see how to remove the dash here (It's not as hard as it looks).

Just FYI, the vanity lights are fuse #2.

[Cheers]

Thanks for the info..... and I'm glad it's not as hard as it looks. A few weeks ago I removed one or both of the screws that show at the lighter/ashtray assembly. I was thinking/hoping that the unit would just come out but of course that didn't happen. My guess was to get to it from above starting, maybe(?), at the radio!! I had no idea...

So, many thanks for the info, and, after going thru the text and photos several times maybe it's not as hard as it looks! Actually it seems pretty straightforward but I will have optional equipment ready just in case. "The impossible stuff just takes a little longer."
