Just getting around to my project C5 and reworking the front end which was slightly wrecked prior to my purchase. Only one fog light remains and no air dams. The radiator shroud has been modded (square cut hole/file folder scoop). My ?'s:

1. Best fog light upgrade most guys are using, passed a C5 in TX on the opposite highway that was running very bright fog lights, guessing PIAA's?

2. Do I need to find and install the factory air dams? Just located a set of brake ducts, and looking for screens as well. I realize the Vette is a bottom breather, and my car seems to be running fine (temps/accel/WOT).

3. Frame sliders or wheels for the front end? Right now the car is still way too low and I scrape the front on just about everything. I plan to raise the car as soon as I get time.

For the forum modders, can we get some of the basic common maintenance issues in a sticky? Working a battery/starter/relay issue now that I was able to find some answers on with the "search" function, but found tons of threads on "Headlights make grinding noise".

Thanks

The best/easiest fog mod is PIAA 1100x, very bright and they fit in the stock brackets.

All three of the air dams can be bought new for under $100. IMO they aren't needed, but it does help lower temps a bit.

Front Bumper Savers are what you're looking for. There are several good options available. Rocker Rails are also a good idea if the car is lowered.

If you have any specific questions just ask away, many of us have plenty of links saved and we aren't afraid to share them.

[Cheers]
