All four of my tire pressures are no longer registering on my 99 convertible, it just stopped working one day. I've determined the diagnostic code to be c2120 and have attempted to reset the transponders using the J-41760 magnet, but wasn't able to reset them. I also read that the batteries within the transponders can go bad within 6-10 years, so I'm wondering if they just need to be replaced. If anyone has any experience with this issue I'd appreciate some insight.

While it's unusual for all 4 of them to just go out all at once, you'd be about due to replace them with a 99. Best prices I've found for them was www.gmpartshouse.com

I saw them on E-Bay today and original GM issues for $49.00. Cheaper than I paid at the dealer at $69.00 for China stuff. ( Definition of China stuff "crap".

While it is about time for new batteries, if all four failed at the same time I'd be focusing on the reciever. Does your key fob still work to unlock the doors?

Agree with Chewy. I'd find it amazing if they all went at once. Even at their age.

My key FOB functions just fine, will lock/unlock and panic feature works as well.

I'd also be surprised if all 4 sensors went out at once.

Did you have the C2120 code before you tried to reset the sensors?
Did the car ever honk when you tried to train the sensors?
Are the sensors reading XXX or blank?
Did anything else happen around the time the sensors went out?

Yes I had the C2120 code before attempting to reset the sensors. The car never honked while trying to train the sensors. Sensors are blank and haven't had anything else go wrong.

Is there a difference if the display was XXX or blank?

IIRC, they would show XXX if they were sync'd, but just not reading. I'm just not sure why the sensors would be out and the fobs would work. I'll have to do a little research. Or you could try posting at www.corvettemechanic.com
