Has anybody determined the best RPM for shifting a stock Z06 (for the quickest ET's)? Lacking that, does anybody have a dyno chart showing at what RPM max torque occurs with a stock LS7?

sure do wish sometimes I waited to pick up a c6 Z06...
Anybody check out the transaction prices on preowned c6 z06s?
I happen to like taking the top off the coupe now that I've enjoyed a few summers doing it....
As far as shift points on the Z06 for the quickest et?
the cars got so much power....I'd say shift fast and hard at 6500 rpms and have a party.....
I'm just guessing and shooting the breeze yet I'd say the et with the Z is traction related more so than rpm related..
I think you got some flexibility and if you can shift fast enough....you'll be in the 11's..
I'm a big fan...of the DSG by getrag or MCT transmission design from MB even.....(torque convertorless automatic transmission) which GM has in one (computer controlled automatic w/no torque convertor) of its trucks too....
because the computers are just dam faster and more consistant..
Hopefully the c7 will offer DSG or a MCT transmission so each of the owners will be insanely fast every time..

Not to be a pain in the @ss but I see 06 low mileage C6 Z06's all day long for 40 grand..
I'd buy a 2006 C6 Z06 for forty grand.. and pass on the o8's at 60 grand..
forty grand give or take a few bucks for an 06 is a steal.
I've almost sold my 08 c6 z51 with NPP twice already and bought a c6 z06 for 40 or 42 grand..
I just can't justify giving up the lift off roof now that I have it.. LOL
Its winter and I won't be taking the top off but when summer comes.. I just dig cruising with the top off...the kid in the car and the dog with her head held high blowing in the wind..
Its fun.

Good point JB. 20K is a nice chunk of change. I kind of thought the 60k sticker might come down, but yesterday I talked with the salesman and they won't go lower than 56k.

I've been seeing 07's listed in eBay for mid or high 40's.
I also was able to pick up some info that helps answer my original question about shift points. Max torque occurs at 4800 rpm according to GM, so now all I have to do is figure out what rpm will drop the next higher gear to that rpm.
