Welcome to the forum LB. If I were you, I'd really be excited. Just remember, you'll get more than what you paid for with a Corvette. Don't forget to post pics when you get it. We seem to have more and more younger members, most are older than you. Enjoy your new Vette and have fun! Come on back. If you have questions, the guys will give you answers. Ken

Thanks for the warm welcome! I most definately will be posting pics once I get it home Sunday! Picking it up in Ft. Worth, and spending the day/night in Austin to show it off, then home.

I am 59 and bought my first Vette in August. It is a 2002 Silver Z06. What a ride, I love taking it through the gears in the winding country roads of east Tennessee. Hoping to do some autocrossing. Regards to all

Congrats, Needforspeed! That is awesome!! I have had my 2002 for a week (well, it will be at 10am tomorrow ), and love the heck out of it. Several people on this forum have said that you will have a grin on your face for months after you buy one... Well, I totally believe that. I have had this stupid grin on my face that I just can't wipe off. Any pics of your beauty?

My first was a 62 and then some years later an 84 (ugh!) and then when college tuition was paid off, the 98 which just completed a Twin Turbo mod...and at age 67 am loving it! As they say, this isn't a dress rehearsal, so live it while you can. Joe

You got that right, Joe! Life is short. Have a good time today, because tomorrow is coming. I'm 60 and live by that rule.

I was age 52 when I purchased my 2001 Millineum Yellow coupe. Told the wife to give me a year to get it out of my system. Will never be without one now.

I bought my 03 z06 brand new as a left over in 2004. I just turned 26, what a dream come true. I only wish i could drive the car more, and look forward to adding a c6 z06 someday, the thought just brings a smile. For some reason the vette draws a more mature and serious persona.
