i own a 2004 Z06, bought her used when i turned 22. I i can tell you one big thing thing that made me hesitant was the insurance. for a young single guy it can be astronomical. since ive been driving for since i was 16 with no accidents or tickets mine was really low. plus ive had motorcycles on there in the past too. the price wasn't a big deal since i had just gotten back from afghanistan and had money saved up.

In 1968, when I was was there for the NCO Academy, they used to call that Camp Drum. Oops, that ought to show my age...LOL! Do they still have the titty bars there? Oh and welcome back.

Hey Bados thanks for the welcome. well nowadays there arent any titty bars in watertown but they got a bunch in syracuse. thats the only place to go really anyway. And hey, at least you weren't there when it was Pine Camp right.

No, no Pine Camp. I remember driving there and crossing the Black River. Man was that water black. Yep, what a place! Truly "Upper US."

It's beautiful. Do a good job shining those wheels now. Hey, I'm a neighbor of yours. I live in Wellington. Well, almost a neighbor.

I guess im one of the youngest ones here. Im 17 but not a vette owner yet, I will be in the next few months. Ive been workin for a year and doing other side work to get a big enough down payment on one. Most people my age dont even consider a vette because they get hand-me-down cars and mod those instead of really saving up money. Im just waiting on a little bit more funding so i dont have to take out so much on a loan. The only downside to a 17 year old vette owner is $325 monthly insurance rate. [Banging Head]

Welome KBurnem! [Save the Wave!] Be very patient in your search. Alot of cars out there to choose from so wait for one without issues. You may want to locate a club near you and talk with current owners about their experiences.
