First of all my tank is FULL. But my gage is flip flopping from full to empty (no in between) both when I start the car and intermittently while driving. Of course the bell and the red LOW FUEL light goes off too. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance - GUV

Get some techtron and dump it in the tank. You have mineral deposits on the fuel level sensor. Every so often the vette needs techtron to clear the deposits. Alot of fuel trea tments have techtron. Autozone Pepboys all carry it

I agree with leadfoot as I have had the same problem. It may take more than one treatment.

I agree with the others and the Techron. My car did the same thing before I stored it. Put a bottle of Techron in and it fixed it. Not sure why it caused it since I use it once a year; all but last year! LOL!! I have to run one more bottle in it to be safe.
Also check for codes, if you have any they could be related to the fuel sender thus you may have an issue. No codes, then you are good! I had none and knew the senders were OK...

Try to get the tank down to about a quarter before adding in the Techron, then fill the tank. Do it again for the next tank. That should eliminate the problem. Make sure you get Techron Plus. Get it Costco's for less money.

I had an issue a couple of weeks ago-but it went away on its own. I did use techron last year and probably will do it again-soon. I mostly use MOBIL or CHEVRON-91 octane gasoline heck if I can find 93 I would be all over it but theres none that sells here......But yeah do the TECHRON plus it should go away.

NEVER force feed the tank as this causes the wiper to go up too high on to a area that may be contaminated and cause you problem.i found this out in my new 97 if i stopped the fill up when the gasoline pump shut off i had no gauge problems
