The annual corvette fest in PA is near. Who is in? Let's arrange a C5 forum event. I'm from PA and familiar with the area. There are some great spots for night life or just hang out at the show. This is the corvette event of the year for the NorthEast USA .

I think this thread may be suffering from being in an obscure location...I realize this is the proper place but how many people look here with regularity?...I was thinking about trying to attend because i thought it would be a great op to check some things out up close. I've never been to a Carlisle event but I've heard they are almost overwhelming. I'm also assuming that the aftermarket companies are there in force with any and all items you could want for your ride...unfortunately I have to work that weekend and wont be able to make it this year...maybe by next year I'll actually have bought a car and I can show in style!

Carisle is this weekend. Probably the largest Corvette event in the world. The weather is looking great with mid 80's and low humidity. If you have never been you ought to go, even for the day. Plan your trip as traffic in Carisle (about7-10k corvettes) can be challenging on Saturday Morning and Sunday Afternoon. Most accomodations are slod out a year in advance but you can find in Harrisburg about 20 miles away. C4-C5 usually does a tech workshop. There are all kinds of vendors, new and used parts, any vette you might want for sale odds and ends, to on site installs of high performance equipment. If you got a vette you should go it is amazing to see all the vettes in every configuration you could imagine. I'm going it is a can't miss event. Yeah BABY!! Leaving Venice, Florida tomorrow morning at 7am! Will be in Carlisle by Thursday PM. Missed last year only, after going for 11 years straight. This is our first trip up from Florida though. We lived in Rochester, NY for all the previous visits. Now it went from a 5 hour drive to a 20 hour excursion. Oh well, it will be just fine in the '98 Pace Car! See ya there..... Florida plates "98 NDY" Mark D.

Coming from Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. We've got an 11 hour drive. Definitely overwhelming but well worth it.

Have a safe trip! The weather here is super. The state police run instant on and standard radar you are good within 10mph of posted limit. Locals do not have radar but do run timed traps not many at all usually in small towns. Vettes only park on the grounds. Great night spot is the Tiki bar at the Camphill/Carisle Holiday Inn.Harrisburg the capitol is a nice side trip and ride up along the susquehanna river.
