Has anyone used this product?
I have original wagon wheels on my 99 vert. I'm trying to restore the barrels on the wheels which are stained etc. since they've never been touched before.
Is this a good product to use to clean them before Zainoing with Z2? Is there something better?
My first post. I appreciate any help.
Thanks

The wheels are clearcoated. So, just make sure that product is safe for the paint and not designed for bare metal.

Bruce, excellent point. I wouldn't be using it on the visible painted surfaces just on the barrels. Are they clearcoated also?

Thanks

Wheel Wax does a great job. They also have a product for polishing/cleanng up the non-clearcoated part of the inner wheel. Gotta keep them shiny.

Happy Vettin' to all. PHLYNLO

You can clay them, or use a cleaner wax on them to get the dirt and debris off before using Z-2 or Z-5 on them. [Smile]

Hey guys - just a side note on Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish: another great use for it is to polish plastic lenses of gauges and plastic headlight lenses. I used it on the gauges on my old boat's dash cluster - they were clouded and discolored from the sun. A soft cloth, a little dab of polish, and a light touch were all that was needed. Brought the lenses back to clear!

Just my two cents worth!
