Craige, excellent job on the write-up. I'm sure this will be a very handy tool for everyone who plans such modifications, plus it is also a good education on fuel trims and O2 values. You did an awesome job - I can't wait to go out and Autotap my car using your config and spreadsheet, then swap my MAF for the GMS MAF, and do it again. ------------------ Brian Yellow/Black '00 Coupe 12.9 @ 111 MPH 329RWHP/338 RWTQ

A quick note until I get around to revising the 'guide'... For the Autotap configuration file to work, you need to be running the DOS v2.05 of Autotap. It's free if you don't have it...get it at www.autotap.com in the d/l section of their site. And no, I won't be making a Win version. , Craige MSJ... No, YOU IS DA MAN! Just bringing this to the top. I have gotten a LOT of e-mail from people who have found this useful. I'm also getting a few questions here and there via e-mail, and thought it would be better to discuss the various questions here where everyone can benefit and/or contribute. later, ck ------------------ Craige K12 98 Coupe, Black/Oak, Z51, 'Redlined' M6, B&M Ripper/MOMO, TRIC, B&B TriFlow Sports, !CAGS, MAF Translator, MSD Wires, NGK TR6, NX N2O 100 shot, Optima RedTop, Lowered, Black LLoyd Mats, V1, Y2K wheels, Zaino Shine 393 RWHP / 525 RWTQ on the happy gas! 2.10.01 NA:315/330 N2O:401/467

Craig, I’m interested in tuning my C5 with a-tap and the MAF translator. I’m using the Halltech with the bigger maf ends (no screen) and I also run the NOS (brand) “dry” system—currently jetted for 75hp, but considering a jump to 100hp. Are there any special considerations given that I’m running the “dry” setup, which relies on the stock fuel system & PCM for additional fuel during N2O blasts? I don’t have any normal driving a-tap logs, but here’s a few WOT blasts, with and without the juice. I appreciate your input. Excellent article. Thanks. –Jim Moss

Well, with my new headers installed I figured I'd give this a shot. Here's what I found:
My LTFTs for cells 1-19 (non WOT) are around 10 for both banks, so I may want to get a translator for this. Without correlation with a wideband O2 sensor, I don't know about the O2 voltgages, but they are both around 0.86 or 0.87 or so at WOT. Hopefully that correlates to a good A/F ratio. I will try to get to a dyno that has an O2 sensor soon.
Timing at WOT was typically around 28 degrees, and knock retard was always zero except a freakish jump during some light cruising which I will chalk up to noise.
The only thing that concerns me is that the MAFT will learn around my changes after a while, causing them to be obsolete. Any ideas on this? Craige, how has yours fared over the months?

After having the MAFT on my car for over a year, I am still pulling the same ltft and O2 readings as when I dialed it in.

Hey Craige, great job on the template and atap.cfg files. I'm going to try them tonite.
Have one question though. What does FT cell "0" mean. I did a log last night and out of 70 some rows of data, over 30 of them were in FT cell 0. Do I throw these out of my data set or include them in the cell 1-19 average?? What does cell "0" signify?
