I think the tech section is incredibly detailed and helpful -- please expand it as time allows. The photos in particular are terrific. I'm having a trusted body shop do the Euro- install and gave them your instructions, although I'm stopping short of going with the higher wattage bulbs. They loved the information -- better than the shop manual!

With regard to the headlights, I have seen where someone installed an extra set of relays (a set per side), which apparently meant there was no need to criss-cross wiring back and forth across the car. It would be helpful if this version could be posted as well, because it seems to be a simpler/cleaner installation.

Also, the posted section mentions a wiring diagram, but does not show it or a URL. Again, it would be helpful to post something like this, i.e, what wires and connectors go where.

Thanks for the feedback. The E-Code's will focus the light better than the US versions do and they are also constructed better.
My reasoning for installing the relays as I did was so I wouldn't have to run thick power wires from the battery post over to the other side. I only wanted to use the thicker 10 gauge wires where they could be easily hidden. I figured that it would be easier to hide them up front since there were already wires running across for other things.
I'm glad you suggested it though. This is the kind of feedback that we need so we can all put our heads together and solve these little problems/upggrades in the best possible manner.

where do you get ecode assemblys for $34

I probably need to call Bob up at Ken Fichtner Chevrolet to check on the latest prices. I know at the time he was much cheaper than anywhere else I checked. I think I heard they were around $75.90 each. This is probably still better than anywhere else, but I haven't done the research.

I got my e4's from PFYC. Plug and play with harness 135/90 bulbs and fixtures. The up grade is perfect. The install DIY article should add the alignment of headlight doors and the weakness of the ajustment screws that the cars are fitted with. The torque screws are weak and strip out with the first turn. Plug and play as supplied by PFYC was outstanding. Ah to see at night, in a corvette. Great upgrade

Shane should be complemented on making a rather involved task easily understood. The euro lighting resolves the only weakness in the US model C-5 Corvette. Well Done Shane.

The pricing has almost doubled for the complete kit which includes a heavier gage wiring harness, PIAA 95/135 bulbs, relays etc. Figure $355 currently in 2005 vs 185 back in 2001. Found the parts on the internet and shop around as the prices vary by distributor and dealer from the $355 to $850.

lot's of heat generated get the upgraded harnness!

I just installed the Euro headlights and it was easy and quick. However, I now have a problem with my left HD door. When I turn off the headlights, both doors go down, but the left door pops back up. I repaired the door motor a year ago replacing a stripped nylon gear with a brass one. I'm assuming that some condition is be met to case the door to reopen. Any ideas?

How do you like the lights?

I just received my Euro High Wattage Headlight Upgrade kit today (including High Wattage Harness) from PFYC. I think the Online instructions and photos pretty well cover what I need to know regarding swap-out and hook up around the headlight assemblies themselves. I should also be able to locate the "accessory power connection near the battery" (although a photo would have been nice).

I have (3) questions that I cannot seem to see addressed in the instructions:
(1) I am not sure what the set of male plug connectors that protrude from the high wattage harness between the battery and housing connectors are for - are these used?
(2) If I am hooking up this new harness between the battery and going directly to the headlights, where does the SIGNAL come from to activate and turn on the headlights?
(3) The instructions show taping up the unused stock driver's side harness. Do I do the same thing to the passenger side stock harness?

Maybe all three of the questions have the same answer, but I have read the directions 5 times - so I guess I am missing something?

Just a guess here, but I'd say that the signal you're looking for (2) is the stock passenger side harness (3) which plugs into the male plugs (1). So, yes, all three questions have the same answer
