after installing an ATI on the Z and having it tuned, my tuner thinks i may have an air pocket in the system. So how are you suppose to add coolant to an empty system or how do you bleed the air.
thanks

Discharge and recharge the system. Of course if you do it yourself you are not being friendly to the environment. I performed this procedure with a $90 guage set from autozone and 2 refrigerant recharge kits from bj's. Of course the serivce manual tells you what you need to do (crypitcally since they use a machine to do all the work). You can get the pressure settings from the manual and the connectors are real easy to get to.
Let me know if you have more questions and I can go into further detail.

ya could just loosen the TB coolant hose and it should bleed the air out.

mike Ooops I misread that... Sorry. Yes you should get the air out through the throttle body coolant bypass. Use a flat deep tray to catch any coolant that comes out. If you have a couple of hose clamps (so you can clamp the line once the air has been bled) it would be helpful.

Yeah I was told the same with the Throttle body coolant line. I still have to do my coolant as well; $30 for a new thermostat, gasket and houseing from GM.
