I heard this is coming out next month:Its been a while coming but here's a repost of an old thread..

This is a post from Hib Haverston:

Delphi wants to release MagneRide retrofit kit

Sources at Delphi said about three weeks ago that all the development work is complete on a retrofit "kit" that enables owners of 97-02 Corvettes with Real Time Damping (RTD) to upgrade to Magnetic Selective Ride Control (MagneRide or MR).
RTD and MR use the same sensors, wiring harness and RTD cockpit selector switch, even though it has three positions, can be used with MR.

A C5er buying Delphi's kit would get an MR controller, a harness adapter and a set of MR shocks. The installation would involve replacing the RTD shocks with the 03/04 MR shocks, replacing the RTD controller with the MR controller, connecting the existing RTD harness to the adapter and then connecting the adapter to the new MR controller. For DIYs this would be a very simple installation.

The only thing holding this kit up is General Motors Service Part Operations. SPO is being quite slow to see the interest in this product and bring it to market.

MR is such a huge improvement over RTD that I'd think there'd be a lot of potential sales if GM-SPO will bring Delphi's retrofit kit to market.

Got this from www.corvettemechanic.com

According to c4c5 specialist...over at www.corvettemechanic.com its about a month and all the details will become available...

Got a few miles on your existing C5's F45 suspension...I would imagine this conversion would be a good way to go as long as its priced within reason...

The pricing on the f45 replacement shocks is quite high I beleive so the conversion to F55 might not only improve performance and ride a bit but also be less expensive to maintain over the long haul..

Just taking a guess? the new aftermarket f55 setup might come with a lifetime warranty on the shocks too when installed by a GM Tech?

At one point (lat year some time), I heard a $2000 number quoted for this conversion. Also, in the 2004 reviews I read that the new shocks had to be fed a lot of amps to make the magneto fluid work. Does that mean the harness adapter has new wires to each shock?

Now if I could only get an F45 kit and install both.
