My A.C. blows cold air on the passenger side, but not chilled air on the driver's side. This doesn't seem right, I would think both sides would come from the same compressor. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Try pulling fuses 18 and 27 for a minute in the fusebox under the passenger toekick panel.

If that doesn't reset the system, try pulling the codes stored in the DIC and post them here.

BruceF, I did as you suggested, no change. Plenty of A.C. blowing on driver's side, but it's not cold, however it is cold on passenger's side. Any other suggestions?

Was the car running with the A/C on when you pulled/replaced the fuses? The automatic dual zone A/C uses electric motors to control the dampers, if the fuses are pulled while it's running the motors will 'reset' when power is reapplied. If that doesn't work it could be lots of things, do you have any codes ?

If you have the manual A/C controls then the dampers are controlled by vacuum lines, it could be a leaking hose.

Good luck cheers

adding to the Ac stumper. My modes do not work. I have auto climate control. I can index through all modes, defrost, upper vents, floor vents, a/c heat and AIR is expelled from all ports simultaneously. cannot direct or seperate. does this sound like a mode door actuator problem? if so, where is it located in 99 coupe? confused

Look at this drawing of the automatic HVAC vacuum controls.

The LH & RH Air Temp Valves are powered by fuse 18, everything else is off of fuse 27. If they're good, and your air is coming out of all vents equally, I'd guess it's a vacuum problem.

The vacuum line looks like it should be purple, see if you can find it in the engine compartment and check to see if it's sucking or not.

I believe the Vac/Electric Solenoid in the pic is directly behind the gauge cluster frown
