Yup, a good quality, great sounding, nice looking , cat back system for C5's. Hooker Elite system with aerochamber mufflers and quad polished stainless tips. Part # 21517 from Autozone. Nice deep rumble tone, no drone and sounds great at WOT. Closest thing to compare it to is a nice Mustang sound. The system is heavy duty construction and looks like it will last. This same system is sold everywhere else fo $600-$800 depending on the sellers conscience!! Buy one, you won't be disappointed! Chuck.

I'd have to hear it first. Does it need a X-Pipe?

Why would a Corvette driver want to sound like a Mustang? [Frown] [Confused]

Just trying to give a discription of a system that compares with $1000 systems out there.

I posted this because I tried it and like it. My owning a Vette does not preclude me from thinking that Vettes should sound better from the factory. My personal preference for a good sounding vehicle is a Mustang. The system is a bolt on cat-back from the flanges after the factory x pipe to the tips.

By the way, the corvette forum has a thread on this system with a sound clip and photos of the actual system. Chuck.

Is the whole exhaust stainless? Probablt not. That's why they are so inexpensive. If they were stainless I'm sure a lot of people would jump on them.

confused confused Is this what you are referring to: http://www.holley.com/21517HKR.asp

According to their website this is just the mufflers and not a full catback system.

They do have this:
http://www.holley.com/21726HKR.asp But, the retail price seems to be around $600.

CC597: I didn't mean to rain on your parade but usually if something sounds too good to be true
it usually is.

There isn't a factory X-Pipe, it's a H pipe from the factory.

sound like a great deal,I am going to look into it,I do believe that you get what you pay for, sometimes you don't even get that,I also know that what most performace exhaust co. charge is highway robbery, example is c4 exhaust are only a fraction of c5,I guess c5 owner are supposed to have a lot more money cheers savewave

If you think the C5 cat-backs are expensive check out the C6 prices. Flowmaster has one you can get for under $400, the next cheapest is over $800 with most being above $1200

may be they are made from space shuttle material,
I thought about cutting the muffler and running straight pipes w/chrome tips but I hear it will sound crude savewave
