I noticed lately that my AC/TEMP luminescent display digits are losing its brightness and sometimes is just fine....Could it be just a fuse or something else ???
THANX

The LED's might be starting to go out. Check out this link to see what's involved with replacing them.

cheers

Chewy, I think I may have the same problem as B52martin. In my case it is definitely not the LED's, it is the actual temp reading and "mode" display center panel that varies in brightness.

I've read a few posts about others having similar problems. You can get a reconditioned unit on ebay for $100, click here for that info.

If it comes to that point, a NEW unit costs about $450 GM list or $250 from one of the discounted places. My parts list only goes to '01 so......

'99 - 16254311
'00-'01 - 10436062

Of course, I think that they are all compatable with any year, but I could be wrong about that.

cheers

You can have it rebuilt for about $45 dollars. I think he puts a lifetime warranty on his work. Do a look on EBay for his service for rebuilding the controller.
