Driving along with 3/4 tank of gas and next thing I see is chcek gages. The gas gage is now on empty. Put about in 4 or 5 gallons of gas but still on empty. Anyone else have this type of problem?

get Tecron at Chevron stations, sometimes deposits in the tank will do that, id start there. are there any codes poping up. is this the first time its happened?

As mentioned deposits will build up. Using top teir gas and adding a bottle of Techron a couple times a year usually solves the problem.

Most of the time if it's a sulphur buildup problem the gauge will go back to the proper level after the car is restarted, but that is still the most likely problem.

One big bottle (20oz?) or two small bottles (12oz?) of Techron additive (avail at any auto parts store) on a few consecutive fillups will usually keep it working right for about a year.

The buildup problem seems to be worse on cars that sit for long periods of time, any chance you just took your favorite toy out of winter storage?

When the tank is empty, as said above, add the larger bottle of TECHRON PLUS. It might take another bottle on a second tank to remedy the problem. Put in a bottle every once in a while to keep the sulphur from building up.

I agree with Rene. Add a large bottle of Techron at every oil change and I doubt that you will see this problem again.
