Yep got my second set in the garage waiting to install. An ultra high performance Japanese tire that I got nuthin but good things to say. More than 20k miles outta them. Great traction guiet none of the reported issues some say. Even great in rain. They are a summer tire and get real slippery when they and the roads are cold and I do mean slippery you will be looking at the ass of your car coming round if you put too much throttle with Traction control off.
I love the aggressive tread design and what can I say I bought them again. I run the HRTZ2 have heard good things about the 3's but I like the tread pattern and I cannot figure a reason to change.
All that said the Hankook is a great tire too so I hear from many. You might ask JB. Why pay 2x as much for a name that is popular? I aint stupid and aint cheap these tires kick ass and last. 1200 for a set of Michlins or other nay I'll stick with my sumitomo and just grin when someone busts on me that they never heard of them or they are cheap tires. Ultra High Performance; grip, handle, perform and bite off the line. Smooth as butter especially when warm, quiet and look great. Just be careful in the cold.
At least 20k miles and still going but inexpensive so I dont have to run them till the cords are showin. Go for it. Under $500 delivered to the door. Ask for the date code if you are buying from anyone. Tirerack sent me ones produced like 3 months prior to my delivery nice and fresh and ready to roll but I told them I wanted the newest ones they had. I saw 163 MPH on the speedo and them tires were right there, no worries except what would I tell the trooper
