Just Started the Engine

My 03's battery finally died. I put on a charger and still won't start. New battery coming tomorrow.
With limited power, "Reduced Engine Power" warning came up. Manual doesn't say much. Am I in trouble? Engine has less than 10m miles after being replaced last year.

It's most likely just due to the battery. Once you have a new one installed, fire up the car, use this procedure to manually erase ALL of the trouble codes that will clear (probably all of them), then go for a ride of at least 20 minutes. When you get back home, BEFORE turning off the car check for any codes that may have returned.

cheers

......... I would also check the grounds for corrosion-Reduced Engine Power is a common warning associated with the grounds issue.

Make sure the new battery is fully charged and the cables are torqued to spec before starting the car.

Why was the previous engine replaced?

Previous engine was due to a cracked block and the coolant went into the block.. GM didn't back up anything..

As for grounds, i'll check the one at the battery. Once I put the charger on the battery, lights were operable, but the engine wouldn't turn over.

What battery are you puttin in it? I think you will be OK once it is in and all is tight and clean as my Bubbas have suggested.
When the battery goes south all kinds of things light up. Just get the right battery for the Corvette with plenty of reserve capacity and cold cranking amps. Torx the cables to 11ft/lbs.(or just good and tight as not everyone has a torx wrench that will fit in there) If it doen't turn over check the connection of the battery to the starter for cleanness and tightness.. Best of Luck
