I have code DTC C1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction.

My dealer tells me that GM no longer make this part.
TWO QUESTIONS:
1.What is the EBTCM?
2.Where can I buy one?

What year is the car?
Are there any other codes?
Has the wiring been checked and ruled out as a possibility?

If you are sure you need the part, check with Gene at http://www.gmpartshouse.com/

I hope you dont need the ebtcm cause they are not cheap and limited in supply. I have heard of the valves getting stuck inside or the pump getting seized..happened to my swiming pool. If you can get it to spin might just start working again. Dont laugh go try it.. Go out and work your ABS on dry or wet surface. This is especially possible on cars that sit alot, never activate the ABS never flush the brake fluid with a tech2..stop laughing and go lock them brakes up a few times. I also suggest getting the brake fluid flushed with a tech2.
I also have a 99 and I flush brake fluid every other year and activate the ABS just to avoid this expenditure.
Do not overlook the wiring that BruceF suggests. Any voltage insufficiency will cause havoc with ABS. I do not think ABSFIXER does the early cars but if the home remedy doesnt work that would be my first call. Best of luck and please post back and let us know how you make out

Tried Leadfoot's suggestion, but still have the ABS light on (sometimes). Think I will take Chewy's suggestion to "ignore it". At least for the time being. Since there seems to be no problem with the brakes themselves.

Thanks for your inputs, and will post if I see any changes.
