My 98 C5 intermittently displays "Sevice Traction Control Service ABS". I have found on the forum that there are a number of ground connections which can be the cause of this but I did not find any referrence to a specific connector which is responsible.

Is there a specific connector responsible?
Where is it located?

Can anyone help?
confused
Thanks ..... Dan confused

The big plugs next to the hood struts are the most common problems, but on a plastic car any of the ground points can cause issues if they get corroded. Click here for a thread with pics and lots of good info.

The EBTCM is on the left framerail and the ground is up on the left front. Pull your codes from your DIC, there are many causes for this display message. Since you are intermittently getting the message, I suggest you get your codes then clear them, then check them immediately the next time this message flashes. If you're getting only loss of communication codes then it could be just the grounds. The brake pressure sensor and the brake control module can also be causes of the same message.

Had any front end work done recently? If so I would bet it's the wheel speed sensor. Otherwise check the grounds.

Thanks to all for the info.
No front end work has been done on the car so I dont think this is the issue.
Will clear the codes and see what happens over the next few days and post an update later.

Thanks again ....... Dan
