New to the forum...new to the vette! my '98 m6 with 53000 mi, seems to have a "growl" at slow speed launch and continues thru about 15 mph. Sounds as if it's coming from the transaxle but not sure. The clutch is perfectly smooth and powerful, shifts are great and no other symptoms except the noise. Any thoughts? Really look forward to spending time on this forum!

Not so much like marbles as a dry bearing sound, like a throwout bearing, but doesn't occur when you would normally expect a throwout bearing problem to show itself. It comes on during slow launch, all the way through clutch release and up to about 15 mph, or so...

ok, I guess it does sound a little like marbles rolling around in a can...also does it on shut down when the clutch is NOT depressed. It is silent when the clutch is depressed on shut down. Any suggestions are appreciated

nevermind...on further review, I suppose it's a "normal" noise. I'll just turn the radio up and push the clutch in!
