I have a black dasboard and there are times when traveling into the sun that I completely loose track of the hiway in front of me do to glare coming off my dasboard. It is more severe when traveling over the mountains to the coast because the road is twisting and winding all the way and you get these intermitant bursts of sunlight through the trees which is also very blinding.I hate to do this but I was thinking that maybe I should try one of those dashboard covers that you can buy for vettes. They come in different colors and I think the brown would match my seats and top. Also I might be able to put it on just for trips and leave it off in town.I can't be the only person having this problem so I'm asking for some help here and any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Everyone have a good labor day weekend
Fred

What do you use to clean your dash? Maybe the product is what's leaving the surface prone to high glare?

I never use Armor All or anything like that on my dash and I really don't have any glare issues.I just use a damp rag.

Polarized sunglasses will reduce glare to almost nothing.

They also make the HUD hard to see.

Polorized sun glasses did not help.I was told by a friend the same thing about not using armoral. He said to use a small amount of dawn dish soap and use a damp cloth and it should break the glare
Thanks to all

Be careful with Dawn as it will dry out your dash. Try 303 no glare and it protects the dash from an early grave

Mike thanks for the tip on the dash covers.I ordered one in oak to match the upholstery and top.I will return with a report about it after I try it out.
Thanks
