I have a 2002 Z06 with 27,000 miles that has the subject codes. Car has Black Bird air filter WCC Long Tube Headers, Randon Technology cat, X-pipes and Borla exhaust. I do not know how long add ons have been on the car. It is strange that both cats would fail with that few miles. It also seems strange that both O2 sensors would fail at the same time. I hate to spend $600 on cats but will evenually since we have an emission law and it would not pass with codes showing. Any thoughts?
I am thinking about just driving the car since I do not have any performance problems but was worried since I know that the O2 sensor reading are used to calculate air/fuel ratios. Any thoughts on this approach as to damage to engine?
Thanks for any input. Steve

Are you sure the sensors are even there? With your list of exhaust mods, many don't even install them, which would just mean that you need some O2 simulators to install.

Did the codes just pop up or have they been there since you bought the car?

All O2 sensors are present. Purchased the car in December of 2009. Codes came on about 2 months ago. Cleared codes and now they have reappeared. Previous codes show in scan.
Thanks,
Steve

Get your Corvette in the air and look at the wires to the o2 sensors. Sometimes they contact the exhaust and melt. For the short term you can run the Corvette without damage. Dont pay 600 for cats

Thanks for the reply. Wires were ok. I will replace the O2 sensors and see if that cures the problem.
