Broke a timing chain yesterday morning at 64K miles (aftermarket) . Had the car towed into the garage back home.....Sold the car as is last night and it was loaded up on a trailer and gone this morning by 10:30 am...

Called Kerbeck Chevy on a new black Z51 436hp NPP exhaust C6 and drove down and picked it up this afternoon.

Dave Salvatore, the sales manager as well as his entire staff over at Kerbeck were awesome.

Everything was exactly as he said it was. The price was awesome too.

This is my year for new GM vehicles as last month I bought the wife a silver 2008 CTS AWD sport suspension and 304hp.

This month I bought this new C6 and I have to tell you its one hell of a different vehicle. Its very luxurious from a NVH standpoint. The C6 is very quiet, smooth until it hits around 4K rpm and then the NPP kicks @ss and sounds awesome..

I hope I can still hang out even though I don't a Z any more..

There is no question the Z06 is a RACE CAR FOR THE STREET!

That sucks about the timing chain, but at least the story has a happy ending.

You're gonna love the C6 wink

I am disappointed! That the photo doesn't have you behind the wheel smiling!
Congratulations, on a kick ass car. You are having a very good year! I am jealous as a pig.
Please tell me it is the A6 and that you will give updates on the performance of that mean machine. Great color. Best of luck with that great car.

Leadfoot...

I really wanted for the first time in my life to have a Black car.. (never had one)

This car that was down in atlantic city had the Z51 suspension and the NPP exhaust. Two things I had to have.. ... and its just what I was thinking I wanted out of the car... ..this black on black C6 is a hell of a ride..

I'm sure the A6 paddle shifter Z51 NPP is cool as hell too...

In fact I imagine its amazing..

The car is stunning in appearance and no doubt performs with 436 HP out of the box with 5year 100k coverage. Black is the best color imho..
No mods needed?? maybe an intake?? Where did the Z go and what did your numbers look like if you dont mind sharing those details. Brand new is soo cool. Very neat your wife danced around your new ride.. Lucky Lucky dog you are JB Best of Luck. Kerbeck is probably where I would buy mine should the time come for my C5 to mmove along

I'm not even adding air to the tires! lol

I'm telling all my good close friends as well as those I was shooting the Sh!t with on my way back from AC that they have my permission and to please smack me in the head if I start to talk mods lol

The only thing I'm doing is filling the gas tank.. (for now) wink

GM really did a great job with the car..Its great just as they designed it..

I really want the carefree experience that comes from a stocker.. (especially after chasing the other car)

ZERO to 60mph in 4 flat.. Top speed 190 mph.. .95 lateral g's cornering? Right out of the factory its world class....... Thats enough for me and I swear thats the mantra I'm sticking to..

I'm depending on you my good friends to keep an eye out for me.

I'm a recovering mod a holic!

Enjoy your new car. Don't ya just love a new car smell? Are you putting it in the garage for the winter when the first snowflake falls. I use to be from New England. The snow sucks when you own a Vette, that's why I moved to FL 20 years ago.

We had a light snow fall today and I could have stayed home or take the car to the health club...

Car went out just find..

I'm driving it.. and just stopped by and had it washed when the roads cleared later on..

I do love the new car smell! This cars a blast..

Got a call from Kerbeck today just to make sure I'm happy..

which was very nice.

Good dealership.. and one hell of car...

Best decision I've made in awhile.

This car scoots!

JB...best of luck with it and enjoy. It is quite a car from the factory, so there's nothing wrong with just driving it as it. As for it being black, well what can I say without sounding biase...but it is a great color! Drive it safe my friend.

Leadfoot.

I finally got enough miles on my wifes CTS 304hp sports suspension automatic six speed automatic and took for a nice spirited run in sport..

The transmission is pretty impressive.

I can easily see the six speed automatic paddle shifter in sport is entertaining to say the least.

I can only imagine the C6 is a lot more fun.

Just a heads up for those who prefer paddle shifters..

I'd say both the manual and automatic Corvettes are a hell of a nice way for the corvette owners to fly.

Just had some time behind the wheel of the CTS in sport mode and just extrapolated the corvette experience.

Thanks for sharing JB Now please tell us about the C6. Clay bar and zanio yet?? just kidding.
Friend of mine got a c6 with the A6 and he reports it being slow to shift?? He is an older gent with no hot rod experience so his report is suspect. I will drive the car and find out.
The caddy is an awesome ride I see them everywhere and they look good but give it up on the vette do you love it?? swooning over the tight lines and fabulose ride?? no rattles great smell and clean as a whistle?? The lines are great and the ls3 howels what is the exhaust like it is the z originated system right?
You can't put it away for winter cause all of your buddies here at C5forum want to know all about it from our most articulate member savewave
