I am not running EMT tires anymore, so i've decided to pick up a small dc air compressor and some GM fix-a-flat (based on what i've read about non-GM ruining the sensor and even worse, the wheel).

I call the dealer and he searches high and low for this product, and could not find it anywhere. Parts mgr. tried as well to no avail.

Does anyone have a part number or alternative method of locating this "GM Fix-a-flat" ?

Thx yall
Jayson

I don't think any kind of "fix a flat" substance will be ok with your sensors.

I think what you're really looking for is a patch kit.

If you get a hole in your tire plug it with the patch kit. Anything else, call AAA...

There is a GM Water-based fix-a-flat that is suppost to not damage sensors. Its $50+ per can, so if you just use the regular type $~4 walmart and toast a sensor you can just buy a used sensor for about the same cost at the GM fix-a-flat would have.

Check the Z06vette.com forum. They have listed the part number for the Z06 replacement can. Initially you had to buy the compressor and fill can which I believe listed for a couple hundred bucks! I believe they have since listed the fill can separately.

Hi there,
Any fix a flat, even GM, will harm the sensors in your vehicle.
A note in the GM service kit will show this.
This is why they did NOT include them in ZO6.
At a $100 bill a piece for the sensors, this is an expensive flat, if you use it.
I hope this helps, c4c5 hammer
