A hair dryer or a heat gun. Be careful and do not get the heat directly on the facia or too close to the paint. Ask me how I know and why I dont do letter inserts. It isnt hard you just need to be mindful that too much heat is an issue with your paint and the facia material. Get it warm and slide some waxed dental floss between it and you car. You might need a clay bar or some goo be gone after and then wax that white beauty up! Yea bud, get that crap off of that beauty devilgrin

Hey OCB beautiful car. I took mine off with a hair dryer. You can take the glue off with some WD40 it removes the glue and doesn't harm the paint. Be sure and put a good coat of wax or polish afterward. I like the chrome c5 plate between the exhaust. I ordered one last night. Put 2 fresh coats of wax on her today. Love that deep shine. All I can say guys is we are blessed !!!!

Check PFYC.com as a gesture of appreciation to the forum operator. Check ebay (auto parts and accessories C5 corvette) will get you there. It will give you an idea of the different kinds available from the basic tastefull for $16 shipped to the full boat billet for like $180. It is a personal thing and there are more than 4 types. There is a nice one that you can have engraved for like $28. Best of luck

Let it sit in the sun and use a blow dryer to get it warm not Hot! Then use a tooth pick or dental floss to slowly pull it off. Then use denatured alcohol or WD-40 to get glue off, then wax. It would look great if you put the Brakelight Red Letters in the Corvette insert on the back. The Brakelight Red matches the red in the center brake light. It looks like it is lit up when the sun hits it or when car lights hit it at night. They cost $59.00 but are well worth it and are professionally made. Make sure you clean the inserts well with alcohol before you insert the letters. Good Luck!

Use the hairdryer stated above. If any glue left on surface, use Wurth Clean Solve. Great stuff and won't harm the paint.

looking at the plate between the exhaust, what site are you getting them from. The only ones I've found are bit expensive. Thanks for the link.

Jeff,
Try here at PFYC, our forum sponsor:
http://www.pfyc.com/pc/VT5021/VTEXH/Polished+Exhaust+Port+Filler+Panel+-+97-04+Corvette.html

or here if you want a billet plate: http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/s-74-exhaust-plates.aspx

Mine is the 2004 Commemorative Edition Exhaust billet plate from West Coast Corvettes. I wish that I had got mine this cheap. Maybe I need to get a back up while the price is reduced???

Got mine on E-Bay for $46 with shipping. It's made from stainless, looks good to me.
