Have you noticed that this board is closing in on 8 thousand members? It would be great if they felt comfortable posting up and sharing their questions, answers, wisdom, opinions and humor. Maybe then I could read and resist the urge to post so much and bore my Corvette friends with my stupid questions and half assed attempts at humor...what ya think?

I agree with the miamiguy, it would be nice to have some other contributions besides the same OLD guys. Hey Rene, time for lunch?

I post every now and then but most of the time, I guess, I am just a browser. Basically, if I can not add to the conversation, I keep quiet. I think many of the members are like me.

My member mumber is 960 BUT, I will start browsing this forum more often and see what I can contribute.

Wonder why I post so much? Trying to get to 4000 and more importantly I believe you have to share to receive. I learn so much from the members here and it adds to my Corvette enjoyment and saves me money. I think enjoyment where you find it is the key to health happiness and a good mood. Driving a kick ass Corvette at high speed aint bad for your mood either devilsmile

I haven't been posting as much lately since I switched back to straight days at work. No where near as much down time, but the work is physically much easier.

Once I get home I always check on my retirement accounts and usually surf the net to relax for a few minutes. This site is always one of the first that I hit.

Hey Rene, how was your trip?

It would be nice if the new guys would all post some pics of their cars or like I do, post pictures of the shows they go to. It would certainly make this forum more interesting and fun!

I think I've learned as much through others experiences as I have going through the manuals. Contributions come in many forms. Just opinions are valuable. Vast tech know how isn't needed, otherwise I'd be pretty quiet.

OK, i have a 01 coupe auto, Basani x-pipe, B&B exhaust, polished throttle body, Vortex Cold air intake, predator and a few minor cosmetic changes. Picked it up at the dealer July 2nd (I think) 2000. Color is Dark Red Metalic. This is my 3rd Corvette. All the work on my cars have been done at the Corvette Center in Newington Connecticut.

As I posted awhile back, I would like to upgrade to a C6 but unfortunately thats not going to happen this year. I am looking into getting new wheels, but as my wife has told me,at least a million times, put you money aside for the new one. Kind of makes sense but I still want the wheels.

I read this forum daily and enjoy many of the questions raised and especailly the expert advice that many of you provide. This is a great place to ask and get good reliable information.

Like I said, most of the time, I can not really add anything meaningful to the conversation or at I am not 100% sure of my response, so I say nothing. Thats just the way I am even in person.

Starting today, I will try to get more involved. I have been a corvette nut since I was a little kid, I am now 61 years old. There is something about owning and driving a Corvette that puts us apart from the other guys on the road.

Thats it for my short bio.

Stan

I just don't view the C6 as much of an upgrade Stan but that's something each of us has to decide for our selves I guess.
