For over a year now I usually do not get a temperature reading on the center console near the a/c controls. Occasionally it shows a reading but usually nothing, yet the a/c works fine. Any help out there?

Maybe a bad sensor. The outside air temperature sensor is located in the front grill area under the front bumper. It's up in the nose of the car above the spoiler near the radiator mount on the right side. Before you buy the sensor you might want to also check the wiring.

Smokensparks, I already looked at the wires and cleaned them the best I could. The really looked O.K. Maybe I will try the sensor, they are cheap enough.

Agree with Bubba Sparks and you. Sensor is cheap enough. Best of luck

Is it possible there is something wrong with your display? You said it displays "nothing".... that is a common issue with the C5 but it usually goes dim.

Does the whole display go off or just the temperature read is not displayed ?¿? IF the whole display is dark try tapping on it and see if anything comes up-if so your display needs to be resoldered-the resistors inside are not making contact all the time so thats the problem. Im on my cell so cant guide you to the webpage now on the procedure how to do it. will post later tonite
