I hope each dealer has more than one to test drive. With a 40 mile range for the battery that's not many test miles. I think i put on about 15 miles the last test drive I did.

After 40 miles the gasoline engine takes over so they'll be fine.

I understand the switch over. What I was thinking was that a lot of folks will want to see what the performance of the electric power is like. So, are they going to have to keep the demo plugged in whenever it's not being driven?

I don't know but I think they'll fly off the showroom floor. I can't see it but I'll bet the car buying public is enamored with it.

I think the volt is cool. I like the dual powertrain capability and although I wouldn't buy one.. I admire the volt ..and the 350 a month lease is pretty well priced..

Yes, lease would be my first choice for a car that you KNOW is going to need some very expensive batteries replaced after a few years.

I wonder what kind of aftermarket mods will be available. Maybe some "super conductive" brushes for the motor, or maybe some "extra heavy" water for the batteries that can give them more capacity. Just imagine the possibilities

You mean "Vitamin Water" for the battery?
