Seems like it's been months since I've seen Leadfoot on here. Anyone hear from him?

I sent him a pm and haven't heard back. I really do hope all is well. Maybe he is on a well deserved vacation?

Hmm, that's odd, I was thinking of him the other day as well, he gives very good input and I needed to see if he had some spare parts he was willing to sell..

Somebody, looking for me???
Hello my Bubbas. Thank you for the kind words and for the friendship. Makes the C5 Forum better than the rest, in my humble opinion.
I was very ill for several months and my computer got hit with a virus, so I was holed up and hangin on.. Now, I am back.
Gettin stronger everyday and hankerin for a C5 or maybe a C6 or a C7. Shucks, I'd be happy to be able to drive my pickem up truck.
Thank you, Gents for the kind words and concern. Bubba Foot

Its great to hear your doing better Mr. Leadfoot! Soon enough you'll be back in the saddle of a corvette again but till then....don't even think about leaving the forum for such an extended period of time.

We missed you and all your good insights.

Besides....tons of new cars coming down the pike to allow both high performance and comfort....ie...that crazy @ss ATS V and CTS V coupe...

Now if you're needing some luxury along with high performance...? Maybe thats something to consider down the road..

I know I'm enjoying the test drives at Monticello raceway every summer for the day..

Of course I'm finding it hard to give up the corvette experience as I am sure have...

You get better real soon and we'll find you the ride of a lifetime Corvette..

Be it C5? C6 or C7! Doesn't matter which because they are all awesome !!!!

Glad your back on the forum ..

JB

I've noticed that your profile says that you're retired now.

Yes, Jim, I retired at 58 due to the injuries sustained in that wreck. I worked for 18 months following the crash but the problems kept getting worse and it was retire or screw something big up and get fired.
None of the treatments have proven to be of any lasting benefit but I remain optimistic that something will give. Had a great pension plan from work(government) pretty good savings, no debt and my Social security is pretty decent since I contributed every year since age 14.
Battling with insurance companies to collect what they owe. They will go to any lengths not to pay. I understand that within reason but they go beyond reason. Got survelliance on my house and they pay doctors to say you are not hurt. They aint winning this one as my injuries are clear and there is objective evidence.
Retirement would be great if I could do things . So far I've been house bound. One day, I'll be driving my Corvette to the golf course...maybe this year? Truthfully, I miss working. I was on the verge of some major practice improvements. If I can find some effective treatment, I'd go back to working...maybe not.
Hope all is good with you and yours.
We are having a very unusual winter...50 degrees average and no snow. Could drive a Corvette all winter, cept a couple of days. Are you still gonna sell that beauty C5?

Thats terrible. The insurance companies are really out of control trying to cut costs. I'm sorry to hear such things yet I know you as the honest always hard working when able person you will win out and they will have to pay what you are due.

Sorry to hear about your forced retirement due to injury. Thats never fun ..not even for a CIA operative such as your self. (kidding)

Best of luck and hang out with us...
