Although I love the sound of the open NPP exhaust on my 2009 ZHZ Convert it does get a little loud climbing hills so I wired a switch to two thin probes and inserted them into the fuse holder under the passenger foot rest. The switch now resides at the end of the wires in the center console and is easily reached to toggle the sound on or off.

Adding a manual control of some type is a very common mod for the NPP exhaust.

You can have it loud all the time if you just pull the bottom/right most fuse in the footwell.

I put in the "Old School M2W" manual switch from HERE and I love it. Car is in stealth mode when pulling out of my neighborhood or when mom is in the car, then a tap of the dead pedal and it comes to life grin

There are lots of DIY threads on the CF, search for "M2W DIY" and you'll see lots of results. THIS ONE is pretty good, post #3 HERE also.

In the first link I posted you can even get a kit to wire it in to a spare garage door opener button.

I have the NPP exhaust and use the M2W switch which I think cost about 80 dollars or maybe a hundred..with two recievers..

I velco'd the small controller to my sun visor. 90 percent of the time I keep it as the factory set it...but once in awhile I put it open for the extra rumble..

took about 4 minutes to install.

I find the car runs better as factory set....or it could be I'm just getting older and find the open exhaust mode annoying some times...

The drone on the hwy can be tiring. I just did a 6 hour road trip to philly (back and forth) and I really found the stock setting...more favorable...

Ten minute drives to the gym ....open setting all the way.

I just bought one from Mid America,$49 and it took me all of 2 minutes to hook it up,love that thing,I pulled the fuse for the first month and love the sound but on trips I wanted it quiter so this solved that problem.
