I would be afraid if you didn't like it ,it won't be easy to remove.

I believe it peels off without damage. I have to wash my vette every other time I drive it. Can't stand my black corvette to be dirty. Of course mine isn't a grandsport with beautiful metal flake paint but come on Chewy you gotta wash that beauty at least once a week

I'm taking a road trip down to Fla in a few weeks, I will definitely finish up my stereo and radar installs before then and give the entire car a much needed bath.

I just hard wired and mirror mounted a V1...Hard to find a good mount. The second one I got is marginal ...the first (t0p flight) doesn't work on the C6...they knew about it as they said after the call...could send it back but I had lost parts. Let me know what you find

I'm installing an Escort 9500ci, it's been connected and running for a few weeks while I played with settings and possible locations for permanent mounting of the interior parts. This thing is SWEET! I'm taking a break right now from doing the final install, I'll post pics in a new thread soon.

I have a VozTech mount for an old Escort detector, if it worked on a V1 I'd send it to you. Have you seen the BlendMount? Kinda pricey for a bracket, but site in link has extra 5% off and free shipping if you use discount code july13 thru Monday. (I checked, PFYC doesn't sell them)

I got an old escourt battery powered unit free to anyone that might make use of it. In PA tickets are huge and if over 100mph they can put you in jail. I'm triple digits everytime I get the chance to do so safely.

See if you can tell if the wiggle is where the mirror attaches to the windshield.

If that's it, twist the flat black part that rests against the window about 60*, CCW if I remember right, and remove the entire mirror. There will be a 3-lobe triangle looking gizmo with three steel rods inside it that keep tension on the mirror. Odds are the rods are no longer straight.

You'll need a small odd-sized torx bit to take off the cover to get at the rods, Lowes/Home Depot both sell a Torx-only driver/bit kit with the proper size in it.

Take off the cover and straighten out the rods, then put it all back together.

While the mirror is off, work in some dielectric grease on the ball that the mirror itself pivots on. That should help keep the rods from bending again.

I had to do my '07 a few times.
