I have a 2007 that is having the roof noise that I read about often and is apparently the roof panel adhesive failing especially in high heat and humidity. The fix is to apply an adhesive foam or replace the roof. I had the car into the dealer for another recall item and they said the only thing they could do was replace the latches for $600, they made no reference to the recall or the problem even after I showed them two articles about the problem in Corvette magazine. I can't find if there was a recall on this problem, does anyone have the recall number? Has anyone been able to fix this themselves and how? This is not much of an issue until the weather gets up into the 80's. I will call another dealer but wanted more specific info before doing so if in fact it was a recall.
Thanks
Jeff

Thanks for the post, apparently my car did not come under this recall for the roof, but I did take it to the dealer and they tightened and adjusted the latches and so far no noise, but it hasn't been hot and humid yet either.

I'd suggest cleaning the mating surfaces and lubricating the weather stripping. GM has a specific lubricant, but there others out there.

On my '07 I installed "C" clips next to the latch roller gizmos and the noise went away. I can find the size later if needed.

The '12 will occasionally make a few squeaks on hot days, but unlatching then relatching the top always makes it go away until next time.

Can I get the size of the clips and where they are actually installed?
Thanks

Thanks for video, I will try that in the next day or two and see if that helps. I have been very generous with the dialectic grease with minimal effect but I haven't used the other GM product nor have I checked the latch tightness.
Thanks, I'll let you know if this eliminates or reduces the problem.

It's actually a 5/32" E-Clip (LINK) that gets installed next to the front roller. This worked great in my '07.
