There should have been some code if that message came up. Voltage looks good, but having the battery load tested is probably a good idea. I'm not sure if you need the bypass. IIIRC, the lock plate isn't there on a 2004 6spd. But, if the actuator is, I guess you could still have the fuel shutoff.
